Previous posts have highlighted my interest and passion regarding photography. I truly believe that life’s moments are captured best with still photos. I’ve tried various methods for moving pictures – dedicated camcorders and movie features in a digital camera – but it doesn’t capture the same feel of a still picture. Plus, when taking movies, the person holding the camera is completely removed from the event and lives it through a tiny screen. Photos let me capture and participate at the same time.

I also believe that the best pictures are taken without participation from the subject. This means that I generally don’t take posed pictures. Instead, I try to capture people and kids doing things versus having everyone stop and make a pose for a picture.
