In this weekend’s post about my ride, I mentioned the Song Of The Ride™ (SOTR™) coming from The Postal Service – their song called “Such Great Heights”. I also provided a YouTube link to a cover of the tune from Ben Folds during an online concert he provided.

Ben’s version is cool and all – and I really like the crowd participation.

BUT – the video for the Postal Service original is actually quite cooler. The coolest thing about this video is that I spent eight years of my life being the GUY IN THE VIDEO. Choosing to shoot the video in a semiconductor fab is not only cool, it’s damn near autobiographical for me.

So, checkout the “real” version of the song. (and think of me!)

I need to admit that I had no love interest while working in the fab. :(
