The first afterwork ride was a foregone conclusion with the warm weather and some much-needed miles already in my legs. It was a great evening for a ride - as they all are.
Rides 2012-3/4: Lost in the Crowd
Wonderful, unseasonable weather on both Saturday and Sunday resulted in a mandatory kick-off to the regular outdoor cycling season. Some steady indoor riding has given me a good start for the season and my pace was higher than usual this time of year.
Ride 2012-02: Scotty, We Need More Power
My good mood after watching the Star Trek reboot (thanks JJ Abrams) and get weather on Sunday afternoon meant I must ride outside. My legs need the miles, as these early season rides are pretty ugly.
Arctic Woodworking
A final frustration while handling my keyboard and trackpad with an oversized board on my lap, I said, "Damn the cold!" and took on a wood-working project in the middle of winter. A few short trips and frozen fingers later, I made a slick, simple platform for keyboard and trackpad.
Ride 2012-01: One of Two
The continuation of our mild winter means that an outdoor ride is nearly mandatory when both the weather and the weekend align. I dug the New Steed out from the basement, dusted it off, and put on some outdoor miles.
