I should probably be embarrassed about how enamored I am regarding my new boots. It’s just that – they really are cool and bring me great joy just to slip them on head out the door. I don’t think Sesame Street was quite this edgy when I was growing up. Not only does Ricky Gervais move the jokes about celebrities into the grown-up spectrum, the lyrics involving “nummies” yields some interesting Google search results.

This time, it’s a holiday song by the same group as Tuesday’s post. There is something about their music that appeals to the band geek in me.

Yeah, it’s silly. But it makes me smile. And tap my toes.

My adult life started far too early. Thus, I’m not sure that I’ve ever lived like common people.

It doesn’t get much better than combining two of my more favorite childhood memories – The Muppet Show and Queen. The Muppets’ satirical look at pop culture is something that is sorely missed in today’s world. The current versions – mainly manifested in shows like The Family Guy – take a lowbrow approach that lacks a lot of class. The Muppets were (and are) a class act – all the way.

In this weekend’s post about my ride, I mentioned the Song Of The Ride™ (SOTR™) coming from The Postal Service – their song called “Such Great Heights”. I also provided a YouTube link to a cover of the tune from Ben Folds during an online concert he provided.
Ben’s version is cool and all – and I really like the crowd participation.
