2011 Tour de Prairie Lakes
I headed back to the old hometown to partake in the annual Tour de Prairie Lakes ride. I chose the 60 mile route that circled Lake Minnewaska and continued through Villard and Lowry before returning back to Glenwood for celebratory watermelon.
Ride 2011-37: Thrown For A Loop
A return to my hometown for some time with family and a ride over the roads of my youth. Unfortunately, all did not match the perfect weather conditions, as I ended up flatting around mile 25 and limped my way back to my dad's house.
2011 Nature Valley Grand Prix
I was more engaged with this year's Nature Valley Grand Prix, by both taking part of Saturday's Spectator Ride in Menomonie, WI and volunteering to support the Stillwater race on Sunday.
Ride 2011-32: Surly Test Drive
With a goal of cycling to work this summer, I finally found a bike that is a perfect fit for a cycling commuter. The Surly Cross Check was found at a local pawn shop and will make an excellent ride for the 14 mile each way commute.
Ride 2010-82: It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
My brother and I set out for one big ride to close out the 2010 outdoor cycling season. This ride looped between downtown St. Paul to Stillwater - with many miles covering the DNR's Gateway Trail. It was a great morning for cycling weather and offered a surprise festival once we reached downtown Stillwater.
