Ride 2011-19: Beacon in the Daylight
I was able to enjoy a wonderful, Saturday morning ride in what can only be described as perfect weather conditions. Unfortunately, this meant that my near-white legs had to be exposed.
Ride 2010-81: Hot Water Bottle
Near record-breaking temperatures offered a chance to get some unplanned miles into my legs. I was starting to get accustomed to cold-weather riding, but it was still a nice break to wear the most basic of gear and turn the pedals.
Ride 2010-78: Feeling Like An Old Man
After yesterday's return to riding following a brief hiatus, my body decided that cycling two days in a row was not a good idea and staged a formal protest. This highlighted that I can no longer expect the easy recovery I once enjoyed in my youth.
Rides 2010-60/61: Leadville 100
While heading along a bike path near Wayzata, I spotted a rider on a mountain bike wearing a Leadville Trail 100 jersey. A quick exchange indicated that he was on his last stages of training before heading out to Colorado for the 2010 version of the ride.
Rides 2010-53/54: Amber Waves Of Grain
Riding including several passes along wheat fields - now showing off their golden color as they have turned just in time for a harvest.
