The first afterwork ride was a foregone conclusion with the warm weather and some much-needed miles already in my legs. It was a great evening for a ride - as they all are.
Rides 2012-3/4: Lost in the Crowd
Wonderful, unseasonable weather on both Saturday and Sunday resulted in a mandatory kick-off to the regular outdoor cycling season. Some steady indoor riding has given me a good start for the season and my pace was higher than usual this time of year.

My good mood after watching the Star Trek reboot (thanks JJ Abrams) and get weather on Sunday afternoon meant I must ride outside. My legs need the miles, as these early season rides are pretty ugly.
Ride 2011-68: It Could Not Be Avoided
A brief stint of warm weather in mid-December was a true calling for an outdoor ride. It felt good to breath some outside air while turning the pedals, even if my conditioning leaves something to be desired.

A rare day with decent temperatures - in the high 40s - but high humidity resulted in an uncomfortable, but welcome ride on the bike.
