Ride 2011-62: Don’t Look Back
A second day of wonderful weather conditions provided the perfect chance to get a short ride into my legs. It became a race to meet the inevitable nightfall, as the 7:00pm sunset doesn't afford time for an extended ride.
Ride 2011-61: Darkening Skies
After a short break, I NEEDED to get back on the bike and take advantage of some great September weather. Cycling has a great mental exercise and I enjoyed the break from my busy, non-cycling life.
Ride 2011-57: Chilly Afternoon Jaunt
With a brief break in some fall-related chores around the house, I was able to get some miles into my legs. The evening temperatures are dipping into the 40s now, so even with sunshine, the afternoons are still cool.

The long shadows I cast on the pavement are a clear signal that the summer cycling season is nearly complete. Fall is a great time of year for cycling in Minnesota, but the accompanying short days make it a challenge to get after work rides complete.
Ride 2011-53: Perfect Sunday For Cycling
A great Sunday afternoon for a bike ride - although I continue to be tormented by my missing iPod. Getting James Taylor songs stuck in your head does NOT provide good motivation for pedaling hard.
